Guns 'n Roses

No. My blog is not about an old band (which I can only think of the name, I can't recall any songs they sing). So read on.

Well first of all, to put some rumors to rest....I am NOT pregnant. Nor do I plan on becoming so anytime soon :) As much as babies make me hungry (hungry for babies, not food), I still have 1.5 years of school and I'm too scurred to become a mommy just yet.

Now. I have two stories about food.
First.
It was finals week and I was busily studying (story of my pathetic life). Anyway, Stephen was sweet and decided he'd make dinner. Spaghetti. Everything was ready and just as Stephen pulled the spaghetti sauce out of the microwave, I heard a loud thump and came into the kitchen to behold the following.

This picture doesn't do it justice. Sauce was EVERYWHERE. I was grateful for this moment because I got to experience some much needed laughing :)

Second story. No picture involved. In testimony meeting, this big football player from BYU gets up to bear his testimony. He talks about how him and his wife were looking for a place to live because they were currently living in his grandpa's house (who was in a nursing home). He said that when his grandpa was getting close to death (which he was), they would bring him into his house to die, rather than die in the nursing home. As such, this couple was looking for a place to live because as he said, and I quote, "No one wants to eat cold cereal over a cold, dead grandpa." HA HA HA. WHO SAYS THAT?!?! Probably the best testimony meeting I've ever been in. Maybe not the most spiritual, but it was certainly entertaining.

Moving on.
Since I last blogged, I had a birthday. 23 years old. It's kind of gross, but it's true. The funny thing is that I still feel like I'm 20. While my spirit may be young, my body is certainly aging :) Anyway, Stephen was sweet and bought me 23 roses and hid them throughout the house. Each rose had a cute note attached to it. One of which admitted that i'm funnier than him. Best note ever. Funny part about it, I asked him what he did with the 24th rose and he said, "I looked for the ugliest rose and threw it away." Ha ha. That's my man.

Then yesterday, we went shooting! Stephen's boss took a few of us to Payson. My favorite gun? An AR-15. I don't know what that means, but I do know it was powerful and barely had a kickback. I appreciated that. Especially because I shot a sniper rifle and Stephen forgot to mention not to put my face too close to the lens, because you can get "scope eye" from the gun kicking back. Short story - I got hit in the face by the gun. But it was nonetheless fun and I feel as though I look like a natural.
