Being sick during Thanksgiving AND Christmas break is no beuno. Who do I blame for this sorry injustice?
The nursing program and all those associated.
Reason being is this....when one is stressed, their body has high levels of cortisol. When this occurs for long periods of time, a person's immune system is weakened. Once that stress is relieved (such as around thanksgiving and christmas when i can FINALLY stop doing homework).....the compromised immune system gives in and one gets sick.
As such, I wish to give appreciation to Dr. Heise, Dr. Sudweeks, and Dr. Himes. I appreciate the sickness.
On that note, Christmas was lovely. It was my first Christmas with my dear Stephen. We spent the holiday with my family and I loved it all. The food was great and the company was even greater (minus the part when my adorable nephew threw up all over my new clothes...)
I was very spoiled with new clothes, the movie Toy Story 3 (which let's be honest, it was more for Stephen than for me, but that's ok :) But the best part of Christmas is always....the giving.
And boy did I give :)
I bought my wonderful husband a gun. His first ever. And he was SO excited. I don't even recall the number of times he took time that day and the following day to just "look" at it. It was cute and I'm glad I splurged and got him the gun.
And now for some pics, documentating the festivities.
Ok, so this pic is not from Christmas. Not even close. But I can't find many Christmas pics for some reason and I think this picture is funny
